U.S.A:
Before there were Arial transportation, we relied on marine transportation. United States is next to the two largest body of Oceans, the Atlantic and the Pacific. Which developed trading routes, ports and fishing. Also beneath the United States is full of rare Minerals (Diamond, Gold, Emerald, etc.(which brings money)). The United states also have many Mt. ranges such as the Appalachian Mountain ranges and the Coastal Ranges, this creates a physical barrier from outsiders or natural disasters. Another physical geographic feature is the Great Lakes, the worlds largest fresh water lakes. It is some of the states main source of water and also the starting point of the Mississippi River.
Vietnam:
Is a tropical country, which means it is fairly easy to plant and grow crops here. And is also next to the Gulf of Tonkin and the South China Sea. Vietnam is major in growing crops and fishing, soil in Vietnam is pretty rich but in rainy seasons and summer there are floods or even droughts for 3-4 months. the Mekong River runs down to Vietnam which is a main source of water for 1/4 of Vietnam. Also because Vietnam has very nice sites and beaches it attracts tourism

US: Contains many rare Gems, Vietnam: doesn't specializes in rare Gems (there are but very few)
US: Is not very tropical, Vietnam: tropical all around (most areas)
